Hip hip hooray it's 100 days!

On Wednesday we celebrated being at school for 100 days!!

It was a very busy, although VERY, VERY FUN day:

- counting out our own 100 items we had brought to put on our 100 collection chart
- visiting all the junior classes to see what other students had brought in to count
- finding 100 on a maths sheet
- exercising in groups of 10 to 100 (10 hops, 10 star jumps, 10 claps etc)
- a yummy shared lunch that flowed into afternoon tea
- fun disco!

here are the photos of what each student brought in to count

Lucas brought 100 M&Ms (lucky he brought some extra, as I saw some pop into his mouth while counting :)

Aarav brought 100 stickers to count
Mikaere counted his 100 toys in groups of tens
Ekansh shared a book he had made with 100 stickers.  Each page had a different theme
Harini counted out 100 water balloons

Amber brought 100 macaroni to count. Today was also Amber's birthday - what a cool way to start your first day of school!

Andy counted 100 penne pasta

Ella enjoyed counting her 100 sparkly fluff balls

Paige counted her 100 bracelets in groups of tens.  She has so many lovely ones too!

Ashriya had fun counting the popular loom bands.  She tried to make a pattern, until she ran out of colours she needed to finish her pattern

Jadyen made this cool necklace with 100 coloured pasta. He also brought in lots of 10 cent coins towards World Vision - fantastic effort!!
